Personal Customers
Deposit Services
Customer eligibility All personal customers

Minimum initial deposit amount CNY100 for savings deposit account
CNY10,000 for time deposit account
Charge for the depositing bank notes
  1. Free for the first CNY20,000 per customer per day
  2. 0.25% on remaining balance (min. CNY15 per transaction)
Exchange Services
Customer eligibility All personal customers
Currency exchange RMB to MOP or other foreign currencies, and vice versa
Remittance Services
Customer eligibility Macau residents
Requirements for remittance
  1. The remittance must be paid out of a RMB personal account held with BEA.
  2. The beneficiary must have opened a RMB account with a bank on the Mainland.
  3. The remitting party and the beneficiary party must be personal customers.
Transaction limit Max. CNY80,000 per person per day

Remittance Services

Requirements for remittance
  1. Trade remittance is available for customers with RMB deposit accounts held with BEA.
  2. The amount of trade remittance made should be supported by documents proving that it is trade-related in nature.
Transaction limit Up to the amount of the relevant cross-boundary trade settlement transactions
*  “Designated merchants” refers to commercial establishments in Macau engaging in retail sales, catering, accommodation, transport services, medical services, telecommunications services, educational services, or conference and exhibition services.

 

Remarks:

  1. Service hours of RMB remittance:
    Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (except banking holidays in Macau and Chinese Mainland)
  2. For all other charges for RMB services, please refer to the table of Bank Charges of BEA Macau Branch.
  3. BEA reserves the sole right to vary or cancel the services and/or amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of BEA shall be final and conclusive.
